Lambeau Field, Green Bay
NFC Divisional Playoff Game
Green Bay (35) over San Francisco (14)

Heavy rain and mid-30s temperatures prevailed during the entire game, turning Lambeau Field into a quagmire. Special teams play was a highlight as Desmond Howard ran back a punt 73 yards for a touchdown, but early in the 3rd quarter the 49ers cut the Packers' lead to 21-14 after two special teams mis-cues. The Packers' ground game sealed the victory with two impressive drives through the muck. After the game the field had to be completely resodded for the NFC Championship to be played at Lambeau the following week.
