Wild Card Comeback
January 3, 1993
Rich Stadium, Orchard Park
AFC Wild Card Playoff Game
Buffalo (38) over Houston (35)
Despite bitter cold temperatures, Warren Moon and the "dome team"
Oilers build a 28-3 halftime lead over the Bills. Many Bills fans head
to the warmth of the their cars and homes after Bubba McDowell ran
back an interception early in the
second half to increase the lead to 32 points. The Frank Riech-led
Bills then managed to catch up sending the game into overtime,
when a Steve Christie 32 yard field goal wins it for the Bills.
Some have called this the greatest comeback in the NFL.
